The Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee (Brisbane 2032) has released its Games Vision to guide the delivery of the Olympic and Paralympic Games. More than 6,000 Australians had their say in developing the Games Vision.

The Games Vision for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games has been revealed as:

The return to the venue’s historic identity follows a community vote that also selected the names for the upper levels: Vixen Room and Fox Rooftop.

South Bank’s Very Own Dedicated Portrait Gallery

The precinct is set to welcome a new portrait gallery, opening in March 2026 at Stockwell’s 51 Fish Lane.

The Brisbane Portrait Gallery will be a new permanent gallery dedicated to portraiture, showcased through year-round exhibitions, events and workshops.

Stockwell will run the gallery, with the Brisbane Portrait Prize as exhibition and curatorial partner.

Brisbane Named in World’s Top 20 Sustainable Cities

Brisbane has climbed 17 places to rank 16th in the 2025 Global Destination Sustainability Index (GDS-Index), ranking in the Top 20 global sustainable cities and Top 4 in the Asia Pacific.

The GDS-Index recognises leadership in renewable energy, sustainable transport and smart infrastructure.

A massive 119 metre-long garden hose has just taken up permanent residence on the river outside GOMA.

The play structure and creation of Contemporary Australian artists, is located at Kurilpa Point – a traditional meeting and trading place for the Turrbal and Yaggera peoples.
