The Paniyiri 2026 Greek Festival is celebrating its 50th year, bringing together Greek culture, community and tradition. What began in 1976 has grown into one of the precinct’s most loved cultural festivals.

New Year’s Eve Fireworks at South Bank will include two sessions, one at 7:45pm and another at midnight.
The best vantage points are the Clem Jones Promenade, Cultural Forecourt, Riverside Green and River Quay.

Various events and activities are taking place across the precinct for Christmas celebrations in South Bank.
Explore the Christmas Collective Markets along Little Stanley Street until 23 December: 5pm -9pm Fri , 10am – 9pm Sat & 9am – 5pm Sun.
Christmas Cinema returns with screenings of holiday classics in the open-air cinema at Rainforest Green. Two screenings each evening until 23 December.
Spot South Bank’s Giant Elves around the precinct until 5 January.
