Queensland ‘Good to Go Campaign’ & How to Get Involved

Queensland’s ‘Good to Go’ Campaign aims to inspire visitors to explore the very best of their own backyards and reconnect with family and friends.

Tourism and event businesses can get involved with the campaign after completing one of the following requirements (1) All required COVID Safe Planning documentation (2) Completed ATIC’s COVID Clean Practising Business module (3) Completed the Australian Tourism Export Council’s COVID Ready program

Once businesses have completed one of the requirements they can get involved by:

  • Displaying the ‘Good to Go’ stamp as well as use the Style Guide.

  • Good to Go stamp displayed on Queensland.com, log into ATDW Online,

  • Update (or create) your ATDW listing – with holiday deals, refreshed images and up-to-date content about your business.

  • View the fact sheet which outlines the background information that tourism businesses need to know to leverage the campaign.

BSB Member Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC)  has announced they will be reopening in August 2020 following the approval by Queensland Health of its Site Specific COVID Safe Plan.

A newly developed BCEC Safe Event Guideline has been prepared and will assist clients in planning their events at the Centre and encompasses all the necessary health and hygiene safeguards, food safety measures and social distancing required under the current opening conditions.  The Guideline is designed to ensure the safe hosting of events, providing reassurance and confidence for the Centre’s patrons and staff.

The Centre is planning to host its first events from August 2020, with the health and wellbeing of our clients, patrons and staff a top priority.

In line with the Queensland Government’s Roadmap to easing restriction’s, parts of South Bank’s Cultural Centre has begun reopening.

State Library of Queensland:
Spaces and services currently open include, Infozone, The Edge, Library Shop and the Anzac Square Memorial Galleries. For more information – Click here 

QAGOMA and QAG (Queensland Art Gallery)
The Queensland Art Gallery (QAG) is now open, with free timed-entry tickets. QAGOMA will open 7 August. For more information – Click here

Queensland Museum

Queensland Museum and Sparklab is now open, with free-timed ticket to enter. Sparklab is a paid experience and you will need to purchase a ticket. For more information – Click here

TransLink – Public Transport

Translink has released a  COVID-safe public transport plan that outlines the measures in place to ensure the health and safety of commuters.

Translink is asking commuters to follow three simple steps:

  1. Leave a gap – social distance if possible
  2. Adjust your travel to outside peak times or consider walking or cycling for part of your journey
  3. Keeping it clean – follow good hygiene rules in line with QLD Health advise

Translink has introduced measures such as:

  • Cashless payments and blocking off the front row of seats on board buses.
  • Allowing you to only touch on the go card reader furthest from the driver.
  • Rear door boarding where possible on buses
  • Increased vehicle cleaning

Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre

BCEC’s car park 1 (access via Merivale Street) is currently operating as normal 24/7. Early Bird parking, monthly passes all available online – Click here.

Please note, at this stage car parks 2 & 3 remain closed.

South Bank Parklands

South Bank Parklands car park offers more than 800 underground spaces Entry via Tribune or Glenelg streets. Offers from 1 July will include Early Bird Parking* rates and monthly parking for $320. For monthly parking enquiries contact us. 

*Enter before 10am and exit before 6pm

Arts Queensland, Cultural Centre Parking

All Car Parks now open:

  • Monday to Friday 5:30am-7:30pm

  • Saturday and Sunday 7am -7pm

  • Public Holidays 7am – 7pm
