Regional Flavours returns to South Bank as a three-part series from June to October. Grazed and Grown 18-20 June, will celebrate Australia’s landscape, makers and pioneering chefs through cooking demonstrations, talks and innovative ingredients that showcase the importance of seasonal produce, food philosophy and sustainability. Tickets on sale, Friday 23 April.

Global Fiesta 20 – 22 August will explore international food trends and Australian multicultural cuisine. Providore Park 15 – 17 October will focus on wine, cheese and chocolate.

Road Closures Around the Gabba:
Full and partial road closures will be in place around the Gabba from 1pm on Saturday 24 Oct including full  closure of Stanley and Vulture Street. Brisbane International Film Festival launches next Thursday 1 October – Sunday 11 October. Across 11 days, BIFF celebrates contemporary international and Australian screen culture with new release features and documentaries, short programs and retrospectives, alongside screenings with live music, conversations, panel discussions and more.

BIFF is presented by the Australian Cinémathèque at QAGOMA with events also at State Library of Queensland.

Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) will be the exclusive Australian venue for the major exhibition ‘European Masterpieces from The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York’, opening at GOMA 12 Jun – 17 Oct 2021.

Curated by The Met in New York in consultation with QAGOMA, the exhibition will feature 65 paintings charting Western art history’s most iconic movements and will also include works by Titian, Raphael, Goya, Vermeer, Cézanne, Monet, van Gogh, Rembrandt and others. The Met’s collection – one of the finest collections of European painting in the world, the majority of which rarely leave permanent display in New York.
