South Bank Parklands and Roma Street Parklands have been recognised internationally and voted among the world’s best in the Green Flag Awards.

The Green Flag Awards program recognises and rewards well managed parks and green spaces across the world.

The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre continues to lead the way in sustainability with the installation of 764 solar panels with 309.42 kilowatt solar systems which is expected to supply 40% of the energy demand from the operation of the Centre’s BCEC on Grey Street venue.

They have also recently installed energy saving LED lighting system for the Centre’s Exhibition Halls, Concourse and Car Park equipped with bluetooth smart lighting control facilitating daylight harvesting.

BCEC managed by ASM Global on behalf of South Bank Corporation, already has EarthCheck Gold accreditation from the world’s most recognised environmental benchmarking program and is on track to receive Platinum Certification in 2020.
