The Queensland Government, through Arts Queensland is delivering a new theatre at QPAC. As construction nears completion, Queensland Government is seeking suggestions to help name the new venue.

South Bank’s iconic Brisbane Sign has received its first major makeover – over a decade after it was originally installed for the 2014 G20 Summit. The new artworks on each letter feature some of the must-do activities in the precinct and City.Â
Business South Bank members recently met with Minister for Customer Services and Open Data and Minister for Small and Family Business, The Honourable Steve Minnikin to discuss Small and Family Business issues.
Members are encouraged to share their examples of red tape (Queensland state or local government law, policy, process, or practice) that is too complex, takes too long, costs too much, adds little value, or that is duplicative or wasteful along with the solution you think could resolve it.

From schools to tertiary education and student accommodation, the wider South Bank precinct is a vibrant hub for education.
Brisbane Metro’s M2 route has commenced travelling from UQ to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. This route operates every 5 minutes at peak times. M2 route includes Mater Hill, South Bank Busway and Cultural Centre stations.
From mid-2025, Brisbane’s New Bus Network will launch with the introduction of Brisbane Metro M1 line (Eight Mile Plains to Roma Street).

The submission highlights the unique role the wider South Bank precinct can play in the success of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
