Woolloongabba has been proposed as the main stadium should Queensland host the 2032 Olympics and Paralympics Games. The potential upgrade includes increased capacity to around 50,000 and a new pedestrian plaza linking the Cross River Rail Station. South Bank will be home to Brisbane Street Art Festival from 1 – 16 May. The event is a multi-disciplinary public art festival that exists to support and celebrate artists creating work in the public realm. View the Program – Click here
Regional Flavours returns to South Bank as a three-part series from June to October. Grazed and Grown 18-20 June, will celebrate Australia’s landscape, makers and pioneering chefs through cooking demonstrations, talks and innovative ingredients that showcase the importance of seasonal produce, food philosophy and sustainability. Tickets on sale, Friday 23 April.
Global Fiesta 20 – 22 August will explore international food trends and Australian multicultural cuisine. Providore Park 15 – 17 October will focus on wine, cheese and chocolate.
