World’s Greenest Residential Building Proposed For South Brisbane

World’s Greenest Residential Building Proposed For South Brisbane

July 16, 2020 – Community, Featured

Local developer, ARIA Property Group, has submitted a proposal to Brisbane City Council to build the world’s greenest residential building on the corner of Merivale and Glenelg St.

The building named “The Urban Forest” features 382 apartments; over 1,000 trees, over 20,000 plants; and a new public 1,350m2 public park at the base of the building.

The public park follows a similar theme to ARIA’s Fish Lane Town Square redevelopment. ARIA’s proposal also brings to life elements of BSB’s Vision South Bank Report of creating a “green spine’’ along Glenelg Street linking Musgrave Park to South Bank Parklands.

ARIA has developed numerous award-winning residential buildings in the precinct including The Melbourne Residences, Oxley +Stirling, Botanica Residences and the Fish Lane precinct.
