Precinct Updates – Weather Impacts

Our thoughts are with all Business South Bank (BSB) members who have been impacted by the recent weather events.
BSB has put together an update on the precinct and operations of key public facing members. Please keep checking the various social pages and websites links below for further updates.
Public Transport
- Bus routes running limited services. All other services remain suspended due to overnight weather impacts causing flooding and road closures – Click here
- CityCat and KittyCat services are currently suspended – Click here
- Selected train services running to a Sunday timetable, with some lines not operating – Click here. Please note, trains are running express through Roma Street station due to localised flooding.

Car park

- Performing Arts Car Park (P1) remains closed, the Art Gallery and Museum Car Park (P2) is open.
- Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre Car Park (accessible via Merivale St) is open.
South Bank facilities
- Streets Beach remains closed for maintenance activities. Boat Pool and Aquativity stream are also closed. Reopening the pools will depend on safety and water quality testing.
- South Bank visitor information centre remains closed.

Education
The below schools are closed today Monday 10 March and will re-open when it is safe for students to attend:

- Brisbane South State Secondary College
- Somerville House
- St Laurence’s College
- West End State School

- Griffith University – QCAD, Griffith Film School and Queensland Conservatorium South Bank campuses closed Monday 10 and Tuesday 11 March.
- JMC Academy – Closed today.
- SAE University College – Open at reduced capacity.
- TAFE Queensland Brisbane – South Bank campus open.
BSB Members & Cultural Precinct
- Archive Beer Boutique – Open
- Brisbane Brewing Co – West End and Woolloongabba venues open.
- Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre – Open, including Olio Cafe & Bar.
- Cineplex South Bank – Open, car park closed due to flooding.
- Courtyard by Marriot South Bank – Open
- Emporium Hotel South Bank – Open
- Emmanuel City Mission – Open and has been offering 24/7 shelter and support for those vulnerable in the precinct.
- Lina Rooftop – Open
- Micah Projects – Micah Projects Home for Good Hub, located at 162 Boundary Street West End, is open for people experiencing homelessness.
- Mantra South Bank – Open
- Mantle Group – Pig ‘N’ Whistle West End, The Charming Squire and Tai Tai open.
- Novotel Brisbane South Bank – Open
- Orange Sky – Changes to services due to weather impacts.
- QPAC – Open. P1 carpark is closed.
- QAGOMA – Open
- Queensland Museum – Closed today.
- Queensland Ballet – All QB classes and activities at Thomas Dixon Centre have been cancelled for today Monday 10 March.
- Riverlife – Closed today. Normal business hours from Tuesday 11 March.
- Riverside Hotel – Open
- Rydges South Bank – Open
- State Library of Queensland – Open with some limited services.
- Studio Pilates West End – Open
- TerryWhite Chemmart South Bank – Open
- The Princess Theatre – Open
- The Prop House Collective – Showroom closed today, reopening 9am Tuesday 11 March.
- The Rose & Crown – Open
- The West End Electric – Performances from today Monday 10 March will proceed. Ticket holders will be notified of any changes.
- The Wheel of Brisbane – Normal operating hours from Tuesday 11 March.
- X-Golf South Bank & Hey Caddy – Open
- West Village – Open. Please check individual retailers websites and social pages for updates.
