Queensland Museum & Sciencentre showcases extraordinary stories from Queensland and the world through dynamic exhibitions and programs. Behind the scenes, the Museum is home to millions of objects, specimens and artefacts that tell the evolving story of Queensland. The Museum is a must-see destination for South East Queenslanders as well as visitors from around Australia and overseas. The Museum has welcomed more than 10 million visitors since it opened at its current site at South Bank over 20 years ago, breaking visitor number records in 2012 during its 150th anniversary year. An integral part of Brisbane’s unique Cultural Precinct, Queensland Museum & Sciencentre sits alongside South Bank, a vibrant mix of parkland, recreational and commercial space on the Brisbane River directly across from the heart of the City.
