Emmanuel City Mission

As a ministry of Emmanuel Community, Emmanuel City Mission was established in 2009 to serve the vulnerable of Brisbane.

Each day, more than 100 visitors make their way to Emmanuel City Mission in South Brisbane. These men and women may be homeless or experiencing the toughest season of their life. And they are simply seeking a safe place.

For these vulnerable people, we offer basic human dignities such as clean toilets, a shower, a nourishing meal, a warm or cool drink, and safety – a place where they can sit in peace. Most importantly, they are with people who care about them. And that is our mission: connecting homeless and vulnerable people with those who care; to decrease their loneliness and increase trust.

Emmanuel City Mission offers this sanctuary during the day, every day. With no Government funding we are totally reliant on the goodwill of our supporters: volunteers, donors, advocates, and those who keep vulnerable people in their thoughts and prayers.

Solving homelessness is an enormous problem, beyond our scope. Instead, we focus on seeing and understanding the person without a home; and offering unlimited kindness to every person who enters our doors.
