Brisbane Metro will start operating from October between Eight Miles Plain and UQ. Services through South Brisbane are expected to commence Nov/Dec 2024.Construction works are continuing throughout July 2024 including:
- construction of the new Cultural Centre station permanent platform 3
and finishing works at platforms 1 and 2 - works to upgrade the Grey Street and Melbourne Street intersection
- works to upgrade the pedestrian gates at the Melbourne Street busway
- construction of a permanent bus stop shelter and drivers’ facility on Merivale Street.
