Sue Fergusson
QLD State Operations Manager – Scape
Sue joined Scape in October 2017 as General Manager – Scape South Bank.
Sue has over 20 years’ experience at general manager level within the hospitality industry in 4.5 – 5-star hotels and resorts, and 7 years’ experience in purpose built student accommodation (PBSA), operating large scale facilities including two hotel openings and four PBSA openings.
Sue has worked for Marriott, and Mirvac Group of Hotels under their various brands, and the Saville Hotel Group, successfully managing many projects. During her time at the Saville South Bank property, Sue was a board member on the board of Business South Bank from 2007 – 2011.
Prior to joining Scape, Sue worked for Campus Living Villages managing their 1,334-bed site on campus at University of Canberra and then opened 1,000 new beds at Queen Mary Building and Abercrombie Student Accommodation, on campus at University of Sydney.
Working with the Scape national operations team, Sue is responsible for the day to day operations of the Scape Brisbane sites, and managing relationships with key stakeholders, including students, universities, retail tenants and the various governing bodies and organisations who promote Brisbane as a destination for international students to live and study.
Sue has been the recipient of several customer service awards throughout her career and holds business qualifications in the hospitality sector.
