Amanda Jolly is an experienced arts professional with more than 25 years spent in the industry both across Australia and internationally. Formerly a lawyer (with side qualifications in music and fine art), she has now returned to her original passion – the arts – and the importance of a strong cultural sector for an economically vibrant and inclusive community.

She has been Executive Director of Queensland Theatre since 2018. Other roles in Australia have included marketing, development and project management roles with Praxis (now Perth Institute of Contemporary Art), Fremantle Arts Foundation, Ausmusic, Victoria State Opera and State Library of Queensland). Internationally she has worked with the Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival, USA, Le Théâtre Centaur in Montreal, Canada and nine years with La Dirección de Bibliotecas, Archivos y Museos in Chile.
