Tell us about your business/organisation?
Signage Australia Wide – Benga Designs specialise in custom made 3D signage for the Franchise, Retail and Event sectors, since July 2003.

Our success has been directly attributed to refined project management.  We pride ourselves on the attention given to upfront planning, communication and liaison with our clients and designers.

With this driving our management, manufacturing and design processes, Benga Designs has established a niche, not only locally in Queensland, but Australia wide.  We manufacture; Neon, LED, 3D fabrication and printed graphics.

What is your role at your organisation?
Director / Owner

What are your key skills and responsibilities?
My key responsibility is client development and leading a small team of sign guys in a profitable and sustainable business for 15 years.  Ensuring we always provide high quality customer service, unique designs and creative solutions at an affordable price.

How many people work at your business?

What is your favourite place in the precinct?
Espresso Garage – I love to grab a coffee after an early morning cycle!

What do you want BSB members to know about you or your business?
I love networking and meeting interesting people that inspire me to greater heights. Benga Designs make some outrageously cool stuff. So if you think it, we can make it!

What is something people wouldn’t know about your business?
We also do Vehicle Wraps and replica movie props.

What has recently happened at your organisation?
We have bought the neighbours’ place which has allowed us to double our manufacturing floor space.

What have you learnt lately?
That we became a finalist in the 2018 ASGA Sign Awards.

What do you hope to achieve in your industry?
I want to raise awareness among school leavers that sign making is a serious and very rewarding career path. I want them to think of it as Industry Art, where you make cool stuff and reap immediate satisfaction when your creation is hung on the wall or building exterior.

What inspires you?
I love simple, practical & unique design in all forms of architecture, shopfitting and product manufacture.

What are your words of wisdom?
Work Hard but Play Harder
